vz61 in .22 is CSA product,January 2014 I got email from Czech Republic when asked about vz58 in this calibre:
vz58 .22 project was scrapped and full power was directed on vz61 .22(and I think it will be in this calibre only in UK)
So,MARS is solely done by Scott-in February this year he wrote to me about 9x19 and 7.62x259(yes..) to be ready May 2015
and it will be vz58 only, also as promised 6.5 grendel but only few rifles-you need to send letter of interest,if I remember correctly
300Blackout maybe in the future(this will be for marketing reasons mostly, after the talks with Bill Alexander-his idea)
so all this sketchy info from all around the UK/world has to be enough for us,can not be done or CCA website...hm
even Alan Westlake updated his website recently...;)

Seems I generated a bit of a discussion on here. I guess a snowflake starts an avalanche 5mith . I always wonder about a 300 blackout version. Would be great with a moderator.

You mean 7.62x25 Tokerov right? I heard of that. Keep ammo and 44 mag type power.

I actually heard of it from sources close to Scott. I've seen vids of Ak's converted to use it. It makes more sense than 45 acp. I can understand why 9mm, but a gallery rifle comp with detachable mags is the best place for 7.62x25. Wonder what mags it would take?

9mm VZ58's have existed for a bit. Kol arms from Hungary did one for semi auto VZ's

Seems either glock mags or EVO 3 mags. Blackstuff might get his wish after all (sort of).

7.62 Tokarev is a fine round not dissimilar to the 7.62 Mauser.

Now that would be a round worth having, plenty of Tokarev magazines around.

I remember buying a crate of a few thousand Russian surplus ammunition, loud bang, stout recoil, blue ball of flame going down range every case split from case head to neck, and corrosive primers, great stuff.

The round and pistol used to serve me very well on the advancing man, it just came back onto point of aim after recoil.

I'm not sure what mags it would use Dromia, seems to me like something a bit more high cap. I seem to recall Norinco making some P226 copies in that cal for the Canadian market. The mags are normally 17 but pinned to 10 for Canada. Me thinks those mags unpinned might be a possibility? Also Tokarev is hotter, you can run Mauser rounds in a Tok but not in a 7.63 Mauser.
