Not according to Note to Part D form 101 Polchraine. ;)

From Form 101:
In the case of an application for both a firearm and a shot gun certificate each of the referees should endorse a separate photograph and two photographs must be signed by you.

1+1+2 = 2

And that is all I submitted last year.

FAC

1 signed by applicant
2 signed by refs
1 unsigned

per form 101

Co terminus

"In each case of an application for both a firearm and a shotgun certificate each of the referees should endorse a seperate photograph and two photographs should be signed by you"

another 2 signed by the refs
another signed by applicant

per form 101

That's more than four photographs required, Polchraine...by anybody's reckoning.

No, read Note to Part D on Page 4. That specifically states 4 photographs and requires one signed by each referee and two by the applicant. It doen not mention any additional photographs.

Sitting here on my desk is a photo print with 4 of the 6 missing - they were the 4 sent with my renewal.

Methinks you have got a different version of form 101 than the one on BASC's website which clearly states under Note to Part D page 4...

"In each case of an application for both a firearm and a shotgun certificate each of the referees should endorse a seperate photograph and two photographs should be signed by you"

Same version. Exactly - each referee (2) endorse a separate photograph and two by the applicant. 1+1+2 = 4

That is the total and nothing additional - it does not mean 4 for the FAC and 4 for the SGC.

How many referees do you have? Two normally ... so each of those endorses a seperate photograph. One each which is TWO

You (the applicant) sign two more

How can that add up to more than four ? There is one case and that woudl be where you use a different referee for FAC and SGC so a total of 3 referees and two by te applicant.

Hi.

When bobbob and I renewed this year, reading the forms it states 4 pictures for FAC & 4 for SGC that = 8 in total so thats what we got signed and sent in. No one has questioned this. I have in front of me a application form for a FAC it states "four identical photographs of you" If I remember it states the same on a SGC.

But the FAC form states that if you are applying for a coterminus set then only four are required.

If they get too many pictures - will they worry or question? probably not.

If they do not get enough, will they return the form and ask for more? YES. Mine went with 4 and no more and there was no query back.
