You can download the F class entry form and print it off, fill it in and post it to the NRA. The Bisley Bible is also down-loadable or you can print it off all from the NRA website
What is wrong with the names of the Competitions? Many hail back to the days of the Volunteer Movement and have a lot of history to them. There is no mystic to the rules. All full-bore competition shooting in the UK is shot according to either NRA UK rules, Scottish Rifle Association Rules or occassionaly ICFRA rules. I shoot in the South African equivelent of the Imperial, every other year and their rules are 99% the same as ours. You have probably been doing all of your shooting in accordance to NRA rules without realising it. After all the NRA is the Governing Body of fullbore shooting in the UK.
The Range Officers are people that are suiteably quallified, who have volunteeredto be ROs for the meeting. They are all singing off the same hymn sheet(or should be) and the Meeting could not happen without them.
I agree that the Journal i often seems to cover nothing but the Imperial, but that is not the case. The Journal reports on GB team Tours Nra tours and at other associated shooting articles. Unfortunately the Editor can only print the articles that are sent in. If you want someting else why not submit an article. I am sure that Karen would be pleased to recieve one. I you have a problem with the online entry form let the NRA know. If you think that you can create a better online entry system I am sure that the NRA would be gratefull of your help.

Steve,

My experience so far of the Imperial is taking part in the Gallery rifle comps.
I take part in almost all the other gallery rifle comps held at Bisley, but find the range crew totally different for the Imperial. They bring with them a completely different attitude, different rules and the competitions have different names and round counts,
All very frustrating - BUT not unsurmountable,

(I also take part in other comps both full bore and Shotgun, all at Bisley, so have a good time at the camp for the other 11 months)

I am not a target rifle shooter, nor do I want to be one, I have no interest in what they do or where in the world they are. I don't wish to read about their exploits and resent, in a small part, that my annual membership money appears to be spent on a journal for them.

Gallery rifle and even Target Shotgun has and dose get a regular mention in the Journal, but to be honest even that makes for boring reading and unless there is something new that we need to know, like the air gun laws changing, I tend to skip over the articles.
Hence the journal was read, to my satisfaction, over a quick cup of tea this morning.

I am being very harsh and this is not like me, best get some sleep before the alarm wakes me up at 0315,
