Durham should hold one, may take a while given the number of people with complaints about them.

Dropped off my sons coterminous application on November 4th, FEO out for visit on the 12th, no problems at all with him. They contacted his clay pigeon club early December and then nothing until they contacted one of his referees 2 weeks ago. They've not contacted any of the other three rifle/pistol clubs we're members of either.

FEO originally said "4 to 5 weeks", FLM told another applicant "within 90 days", it's now at 105 days and counting :bad:

Would be great if the HO cottoned onto this and put it in their guidance.

Interesting in a "good god, they're actually being public and open way" but nothing surprising so far. Anyway, time to knock off and head for the club. The CoverItLive platform allows you to review what they say after the event - assuming NYP don't delete it from their homepage too quickly!

Wonder who this is - GCN? love it how they never seem to give a crap about all the illegally held firearms ****
"Comment From Guest
How many SGC and FAC holders are there in the UK? Do you also have the statistics for homicide rates via legally held firearms?"
To which the response was:
" On 31 December 2013 there were:

150,776 firearms certificates and
581,019 shotgun certificates
Nationally

There were:
6,450 firearms certificates and
18,493 shotgun certificates
in North Yorkshire.

We do not have the stats on homicide rates."
That's a lot less certificates issued than I thought - we really are a minority......

Now ended, never answered any of my questions, very selective chat session I think given there were only about 19 questions.

They answered a couple of mine however one was left unanswered, nothing contentious just a S1/S5 ammunition question. Personally I think it was a superb initiative and well balanced so very well done to NYP.

I have a transcript of the whole Webcast if anyone is interested and I would pay money to read all of the unanswered questions as I am sure there will be some real curved balls from some areas of the public, both pro and anti firearms.
