Badger the facility is there for you to shoot as a member of an affiliated club but it is just a matter of going about it in the right way as has already been explained. Simply put if you want to shoot at Bisley as an individual you have to be an individual member of the NRA.
So quit being a tight arse and pay up or simply just get your club secretary to make the booking for you. :good:

The club secretary was told he could only book a range for the club, not an individual member of the club...

If I as club secretary book a target for my affiliated club and make sure it is open to all members of that club to come and shoot if they want but only one turns up?????

Is there a minimum limit on the number of club members that need to attend? I have never seen any numbers mentioned and you did indicate us rather than me.

It just needs to be open to all club members to attend if they wish - no minimum or maximum numbers involved.

I book targets for two affiliated clubs and I am sure that if the weather was crap absolutely noone would turn up ;)

No, it isn't. We've tried.

More unnecessary paperwork than you can shake a stick at.

get your secretary to book as a club day, advertise it as a club day and if noone else turns up pay the fee yourself simples... or if you are a member of BASC get them to book a target for you, its a free service to members (you still pay the range fee though)

If you are a member of an affiliated club or have an FAC then it is simple - just give the Membership Dept a call and they will talk you through it.

The membership form was designed to cover all four ways of joining - FAC, club, services or probationary - and is probably a bit more complicated than it could be but its either that or four separate forms which would then result in people filling in the wrong ones.

I've just had a look at it and it seems very simple to me but then I don't have paws!
