Any problems getting some, let me know. I have about 500 FMJ 45ACP rounds sitting on the shelf waiting for you.

Well oomans, we acquired 200 rounds of Companhia Brasileira Cartuchos .45 ACP this morning and threw a lot of it away this afternoon through our Armalon / De Lisle copy. The parting words of the 'smith as we left the shop were something to the effect of not expecting it to group as "it's Brazillian crud, you'll be lucky to get them on the screen at 25 yards." He wasn't far wrong. Our best 10 round group was just under 12 inches.

We're approaching that point. What we'd like is a nice big slippery bullet with plenty of thump trundling along sub sonically...

Indoor I use a 200g cast bullet doing 800fps, outdoor 185g TMJ doing 1900fps. Opposite ends of the spectrum but both equally fun

Hmmm, we're wondering what's the biggest cast boolit we can pop into a .45 ACP case with a few grains of something spicy to pop it out at around 1000 fps. We expect Dromia or Dodgyrog will be along soon to educate us.

Boolit size wil ultimately depend on you throat dimensions, get impact casting.

It's a long time since I was involved with 45acp but if memory serves me right you will struggle to load heavier than about 250g and that's unlikely to be very near your 1000fps ?
