Ask for as many as you want. My first FAC I asked for 8 and got 7, all in a wide range of calibres. 1 year later and a couple of variations I now have 12 on my ticket.zzr1100 wrote:wel figuring that the worst they can say is no .,.. ive added .303 rifle and changed the .22 ammo to 1000 buy and 1200 hold !
apparently Merseyside take about 8-12 weeks ...
no it'll almost certainly be 7.62x51 or .308 only.. you could add a few slotszzr1100 wrote:Hypothetical question ... I've asked for .308/7.62 on my application .. If it comes back saying exactly that ... Does that mean I could get 7.62x54r or 7.62x39 or does it have to be 7.62x51 only ??

Good luck with your application!Where your FAC has authorisations stating ".308/7.62mm" this refers solely to 7.62mmx51 NATO as this is equivalent to .308 Winchester. 7.62mmx54R or 7.62mmx39 would have to be stated explicitly on your certificate for you to acquire a rifle in these calibres as neither is equivalent to .308 Winchester
