I keep a log too, (exel spreadsheet) of how many I make, when and where I shoot them, and what the current stock is. The entries in the log are kept up to date, mainly for my own benefit as I have ammunition stored in two seperate places, the entries on the FAC are not so regularly updated.

My spreadsheet also includes, since retirement, miles travelled, travel/accommodation, entry fees and component costs.

Hence I know that my shooting cost me almost eight quid a bang last year - frightening, I think I'll stop doing it.

How bizzarre, i got 2500 hold and 2000 purchase for .22 rimfire.

Do you guys record (in your logs) any rounds purchased at your clubs as i purchase most of mine through my club at the moment and keep the ammo there, so since October (when i got my FAC) i only have 700 rounds of .22rf as shown as purchased on my FAC but i purchase probably 1,000+ rounds a month from the club and i think i have receipts for my purchases from the club i could put together for renewals etc. I would buy more outside the club but my nearest gunshop (The Sportman Guncentre at southern counties shooting ground, Dorchester) is pretty expensive and also only stock hunting guns and ammo, i've heard the staff slagging off anything to do with Black guns and target shooting in the past to customers that have asked about black guns.
