Lathe - thread cutting

Anyone hand with a lathe?

I need an female thread cut in apiece of aluminium, you can not purchase a tap of the shelf so will need cut in a lathe.

It is to allow me to screw a hushpower moderator onto the vari choke threads on my Mossberg bolt action .410

Its been done by Mossberg ,but I wouldnt have thought it possible to fire shot through a moderater

Er, why would it not be possible?
You HAVE heard of quite a successful UK business called Hushpower, I take it?

Apart from said company, I have a pre-war Parker-Hale brochure for sound moderators: several different rimfire & full-bore models - the common .22 PH version was known as the MM1; other models went up in size from there, to include shotgun & full-bore rifle models PLUS quite a nifty range of no threading required muzzle devices to allow said products to be fitted to quite a range of pistols & rifles & shotguns...
