Hi all I have got hold of this 1896 Tula Finn capture. It has a Finn stock without a stock disc, shame that the disc is missing.
I think the Finns removed the discs just in case they got captured and the discs would reveil to much information.
I have looked at the reciever tang and looks like what ever was there has been scrubbed or faded away, but upon closer look after some cleaning I think I can see the top of a Tula hammer. There is a marking on top of the tang which looks like a cricle with something in it. There is a B on the right side of the rec and all the inner parts are Tula marked except the trigger. Whole Bolt is Tula and serial matches the Barrel.
Barrel is counterbored, and after a clean up the bore still has some life left in it so thats good.
Stock has an A L carved into it, also has front and rear band retaining screws. Also is spliced , the cross bolt looks like it has a tula hammer on it. Seems a very interesting peice I have.
Target sights will be coming off !

I was also going to ask if we could see a closer view of the target sights.
