Long barrel pistols

If I were to import a .22LR semi auto pistol, add a longer barrel and wrist brace how would I / could I then get the pistol classified as Section 1? Is there any guidance on this, proceses etc.

So is it possible? Can a gun be re-classified S1? I thought I'd heard once S5 always S5 but is that just an internet myth?

CANNOT be changed from S.5 to S.1

MUST be MADE as a S.1 in one form or another (such as the .22 rifles THEN converted to LBP) & the LBP's MADE from NEW to comply with the 30cm barrel/60cm length criteria

Your S.5 mate should be able to advise more
