Picked up a s/h 10/22 yesterday and will tinker around with that until I make a decision. The SIG is looking favourite at the moment though.

They are .22 rimfires - they don't have any recoil!
lol - its all relative. Do they kick like a .223 or .308, no course not, but compared to the heavier wooden stock ruger 10/22 I normally use, the lighter plastic/polymer Sigs, S&W's etc do jump about a bit more.
Was that thin as in comb width or thin overall and a bit on the wobbly side? I have heard from an ex GSG owner of issues with loose telescopic stocks causing a poor mount. The Sig seems to be a popular choice from those I have spoken to so far.
The width of the stock was an issue, it just felt a little unstable. You didn't seem able to extend the stock out very far either. These were just personal issues though after a very limited amount of shooting with it. I'm sure you'd either get used to it very quickly or it wouldn't be an issue to start with.
