Blown away

The inter counties short range match ended up being 300 yards only, as the targets started to break in the strong wind! Just before they decided that it was getting dangerous to be in the butts I think numbers like 7 mins were being used at 500!

That was today? We have had virtually no wind here today and 18-19 degrees outside.

Yesterday (16th), today was long range, much better!

I was shooting 900 and 1000 yards on the saturday. 900 was good with only 5 or 6 minutes of wind but 1000 in the afternoon it was varying between 12 and 18 minutes.

300 and 600 was harder work on the sunday as the wind just wouldn't settle.

The wind was varying around 12 to 18 minutes? That's typical of you oomanses' "rush, rush, rush" lifestyles. Faced with a quarter of an hour of wind we badgers would just have sat back and had a cup of tea and a digestive biscuit until it blew over....
