Who needs tools to set depth correctly , didn't you know that all you need to do is push the round in , then feel the case base with your thumb , then cut a bit more till correct
Depth attained , +\- 1 thou fingers ! Didn't know you could get your thumb calibrated to that accuracy !
And the testing. !! Lets put a glove on and stand round the corner ! There's a phrase that comes to mind , only in ...... ? Now , where was that place ?

I can certainly feel less than .001" as a step and I have watched fitters aligning 100+HP 3 phase motors to within a couple of thou with a 7lb sledge hammer, in fact one could do it in increments of 5 thou when asked to. Our hands are the most amazing things. I just wish my eyes enjoyed the same level of precision for fine work.

Monday I was machining a shaped groove with the aid of a jewellers loupe, always fun when the work piece is spinning fractions of an inch from your nose.

Seemingly he fell foul of the ATF in 2009 and lost his FFL.

Watched the first half dozen of series 1. All seemed a bit loud, contrived and lacking in any firearms depth for me, almost a firearms soap. Pass the sick bucket please. :bad:

The show is aimed more at the American market and is produced by the guys which do American choppers.
Yes a soap with guns a few people at work have watched it and liked it and they have nothing to do with firearms.
If they did a show about ballistics historey and other more tecnicale stuff I dont think it would get the number of people watching to show on the Discuvarey chanel only the hard core firearms people would choose to watch it so would not get the rateings over here.

Aye ratings is everything.

One of the reasons I don't own a tv, is that my view is if the mass want to watch it then it isn't worth watching and all tv is for the masses.

I think Ermey's performance on him shows Mail call and Lock n Load are purely for the cameras, just as the thing of everyone calling him gunny,
Reading between the lines and having seen a few episodes I feel he knows a lot more than he makes out and because FMJ he has to constantly play the gunnery sergeant card.

I feel he has a genuine interest in shooting and is a competitive shooter
