Both 7.62 NATO and 7.62x54R

or how about trying to get your paws on a TKIV 85?

Hmmm, an interesting alternative to a P14/17 conversion... methinks this 7.62x54R idea has a lot going for it...

Isn't it just...

I'm thinking of a P14 in a thumbhole stock spitting out cheap Hungarian heavy ball...

With the price of the Ross, is converting a P14 worth it? Especially, when you consider the rarity of the Ross as a donor rifle. Just the action makes it tempting and the uniqueness of the whole package even more so.

That Ross is very special, sadly the Viking no longer has a spare slot for 54R

Hmm, the snag with the Ross is that it is single shot. We like to have a magazine of canned bangs ready...
