I was faintly amused (if that's the right word) at the report on the BBC earlier where a witness said the offender had a flame thrower. I was wondering where the heck he would have got a flamethrower from and suspected the witness in question wouldn't know a flamethrower if it fell on her. Correctly it seems as it was apparently a blowlamp...

Gun: The piece on his chest is a Glock, impossible to tell the precise model from the photograph but they're usually G17's in the UK. The drop-leg gun you can't see. Why he's carrying two, I'd assume it's just a case of putting on his drop-leg holster, then putting on a vest and deciding to run a chest holster instead, but not yet having removed (or not bothering to remove) his drop-leg. The vest isn't buckled up so that fits the theory i.e. he's only just put the vest on.

Holster: Blackhawk SERPA 2

Identity: His vest says 'police' so given the location (London) and context (suspected terrorist incident), SO15 or perhaps CO19. SAS don't use Glocks. It's not unusual to see plain clothes armed police at sieges - they want more boots on the ground than there are armed officers on duty, so they call up off-duty officers who have to rush to the scene in whatever they were wearing at the time and throw on a vest when they get there.

Also in the pictures: Sniper on a rooftop with a vintage G3K and claw mounted scope. MP5SFA3 run with just irons. Sloppily worn drop-leg holsters all around. Attach them to your belt, people! :G

The pic clearly shows a glock in a chest holster and a Glock in a drop holster.

As an aside, the Glock is a lot more prevalent in the UK military than you'd think.

Hi could this guy have been a balistic shild user in a breach team IE:They breach he has one pistol drawn uses the ammo but cant reload so reholsters and draws chest pistol just an idea .
