...and here it is. Another prototype Remington 700 rod cleaning guide.
I have been looking at rod guides for a while now but to date what I had built was just not right so this is the latest take on it. I took more measurements from Marks rifle last night and as luck would have it Alan called over this morning on the way back from Bisley with a Rem700 in the boot of his car so he was plied with tea whilst I put this together.
The lug is true to the axis within .002" so it must be the flash that makes it look out of line. Anyway it is built has been tested and gets the vote so I can refine the design now. I think I am getting closer to that Rem700 rod guide.....
