Very nice, not exactly rim fire either. Does anyone know how they manage to fire blanks with such a thing as i would have expected it to be deactivated.

Awesome.

Didn't know it turned up again last year. Remember when it turned up the other year, 2009 or '10 was it?

I remember having a go.

Turned up with it's tractor/van puller, all the guys were decked out in WWII uniform and gear and in the back of the tractor/van, they had ALL the correct gear and bits and pieces needed to run a 25lb gun/howitzer.

I remember they took a shell case and filled it with Pirodex; thus the huge plume of smoke out the muzzle

Speaking to the chap who owned it, I "think" he said it was actually on his FAC, but the barrel and supports were so rusted that if a live 25lb shell was fired through it; it was literally explode.

Best bit for me was transversing the gun barrel with the wheels, that was fun, and surprising easy.

Section 1 on your FAC - Holts had one for sale last year or the year before. Holts has also had 3.7 inch field guns, 76mm Russian Infantry support gun, 2 Pdr QF gun and recently a PaK 38. There are some posts on FB about them - all S1. :shakeshout: I wish!
