185gnLRBT.

Good afternoon everybody, a question if I may.
Has anybody shot the 185gn Long Range BT through a 30" 13T barrel? If so I would be very interested in your findings.
Thanks.

Stuart Anselm (Samselm on here) won the European FTR comp in November shooting them, not sure of his exact set up but I think it would have been similar.

Most would go for a 1 in 12 twist for a 185gn bullet but they just might stabilise in a 1 in 13 - borderline though - unless you are driving 'em with something bigger than a 308Win.

As Vince said - you might just get away with it if you push them hard enough but I would be inclined to use the 155.5's instead.

Have you tried the 155 Scenars, they work very nicely at 1000 yards or the 155.5 Berger VLD's are worth a look, I may be old fashioned in this respect but I have always had my best results with bullets in the 155 range other than the Lap 170LB which I still believe out shoot everything else on the market in the 155-185 range.

....and nobody has yet stated the CALIBER being discussed...

Mate of mine has great success with 185 gn bullets in his 357 Marlin.

Berger 185 will be .308 as I doubt the .284's are available over here yet.
