Is there any Mauser K98 reloaders out there that will advise of type of powder , bullet OAL etc for the 7.92 round

The ubiquitous Vihtavuori N140 has done well for me.

Oal really depends on where your lands are and if you can't reach them with the ogive then seat the boolit/bullet out as far as it will go whilst still giving good boolit/bullet retention. Of course your oal will be limited by your magazine size unless you want to single load.

Hodgdon H4895 topped off with a S&B 180 fmj bullet works for me. The OAL that works in my k98 is 3.15" (maximum oal in my Lee book is 3.25)

I suggest you check your rifle first..

Sam, a lot of the time it's trial and error mate, before me two replies above with two different powders, my K98 loves IMR4064 with any 180grn boolit on top. Thing is though it doesn't like boolits under 180Grn.
