Re: WARNING FAKE LEUPOLD SCOPES
This has been going on for years, especially on flea bay, at least they're now giving examples of how to spot one (apart from the poor glass quality) :goodjob:
Slightly off topic, but if you follow the link then click on the way to spot one by the Objectiove Lens, why the hell would you mount a scope like that on the carry handle of an AR?? There must be 3-4" of height difference between the bore and crosshairs :G

Be careful out there.
But please be cautious about accusing others of selling fake gear. Some Mark 4 scopes do not have a medallion, nor do they have markings on the objective.
I had a long and awkward battle on another board with 'so-called experts' who had read about it on the interweb and kept insisting my scope was a fake. They still wouldn't believe it even when Leupold Technical support verified it as genuine.....there are some right idiots out there.

The main time I liked them was when a Mark 4 scope I had bid on on Ebay became the attention of the armchair experts, resulting in all the bidders higher than me cancelling their bids!!
Won the auction for about a third of the UK RRP for the scope = result!!
