Anybody picked the first issue of this new mag? Any good?

They launched it at the Newark show last weekend, was given a free copy, i've had a quick flick through but plan on a more detailed read tonight.

I think they are pitching it at a worldwide audience as quite a big story in it about a top American shooter, I might buy it for a few months to see how it goes, not sure I'm up for a subscription yet.

Yes, blurp would suggest air rifle owners but photos suggest 'Walt'.

What does everyone else think about their plans to run a 'crossover event' where airsofters will be able to try .22 rimfire? I wonder how they have managed to get permission to let people turn up and just have a go?

They claim on facebook that it is gong to be held (probably) at the Lord Roberts centre.
Could this be true? Does anyone know?

Heaven help us all! I would worry that they are too used to pointing guns at each other and firing with nothing more than a little sting from a BB

Its title is .22 Shooter - The magazine for the global rimfire community

Nothing to do with Air rifles in there.

The first issue is having a look at the tactical rifles available, also a small bit about proffesional target shooting, a visit to the Walther factory, review of CZ452-2E bolt action rifle, country shooter, H & K 416D tactical, Geco ammo, safety glasses, club listings etc etc.

The rifle on the front cover is the CMMG mk-4 Evolution

Its not too bad but only like 58 pages for £4 and only drops to £3.75 if you subscribe

It looks harmless enough, and I am on there facebook page I found them because a TP said nice things about them. Some else has echoed sentiments about allowing airsofters shoot 22.

It has attracted a lot of criticism elsewhere about the "walt" nature of some of the pictures. They posted a video on FB of the Ruger test and there is a guy in the background wearing pants with built in hard knee protection, why?

It has promise but they need to tone it down a bit otherwise it will attract the wrong crowd and attention from elsewhere!
