All handloading data posted on Full-Bore UK from 23/2/2021 must reference the published pressure tested data it was sourced from, posts without such verification will be removed.
Any existing data without such a reference should be treated as suspect and not used.

If its of any interest I use EXACTLY the same set of Viht powders across 308 Win, 260 Rem (550 for 123g Scenars and 560 for 139g Scenars) and I could use the 560 for 338 Lap mag but chose to use N170 instead on my giunsmiths recomendation.ovenpaa wrote:I started off with Vectan, moved to Viht (N140) as I was getting early pressure signs with the Vectan, it turned out it was the primers I was using and a shift to CCI and all was good, until N140 suddenly all but disappeared off the market some 3-4 years ago. Chose these also on price and general availability.

I have often considered N170 or N570 for my 7mm SAUM but it looks (On paper at least) to be just a tad too slow. I really should try it one day...

Works well in 338 but its a bugger re metering.... the large grains can clump-up easily.... minor irritation though!
