Just been looking through the FAC application paperwork and Avon & Somerset say that if you have 6 or more firearms/shotguns then you will have to have an alarm fitted to the premises, i also note that there is only space for 5 firearms on the application form, what do you do if you want to list more than 5 on your first application?

Have avon and somerset changed their forms? when I last did it I applied for 8.
If you have another certificate holder in the house be warned they do it by house not person, with me and my dad having a combined total of 25 or so firearms, we were fortunate to have an alarm already fitted to the house so it passed without problems

When I fill in form 101 I don't complete the sections pertaining to firearms acquired and wishing to acquire as well the ammunition sections I enclose tables of firearms and ammunition pertaining to each section and put on the form "see attached sheet 1, 2 etc" and number them accordingly. It also means that I can print them out to ensure clarity and accuracy.

I do actually have a small room spare that i could convert to a gun room. What do you have to do, to make it secure 'enough?'
