PSG looks really great, but I've not been able to find anywhere that does it in South Wales, any ideas?

Forum and shooting newbie here (more on this in the new members forum once I have a little more time). The Tyne Valley Rifle Club shoot at Ponteland and the next meeting is the 26th. I'm not a member (yet) but will be popping along to see what it's all about before I inevitably sign on the dotted line.

In my day we used to call it rough shooting. Practical shotgun on live quarry without the restrictions.

The closest one that i know about would be Borders PSG http://bordergunspsg.co.uk/ so between 2-3hrs away from the most Southernly part of Wales.midnight999 wrote:PSG looks really great, but I've not been able to find anywhere that does it in South Wales, any ideas?

'Practical' anything became a dirty word after Thomas Hamilton was linked to Practical Pistol, but PSG is ever an expanding sport these days and it's making in-roads from the damage done back thenHaytime wrote:Never heard of PSG until today, thats some kinda sport :goodjob:

Thanks Blackstuff, that's a fair trek over 2 hours as you said, bit too far for the moment but will keep it in mind for the future, or maybe something closer will start up.Blackstuff wrote:The closest one that i know about would be Borders PSG http://bordergunspsg.co.uk/ so between 2-3hrs away from the most Southernly part of Wales.midnight999 wrote:PSG looks really great, but I've not been able to find anywhere that does it in South Wales, any ideas?

2hrs each way is about the 'norm' as unfortunately good PSG clubs are few and far between, it's even worse down the SE coast.

Hi - I am going on this date also. Spoke to Jonathan last year but finally got it sorted when I found an app form at Mayfair.Jonthebrit wrote:Forum and shooting newbie here (more on this in the new members forum once I have a little more time). I should be there too, although shooting with 3 Counties, so don't know if we'll be on the same range or not. I THINK we're supposed to be on B Range (the 600m one with the range masters building)Amber Dog wrote:Hi - I am going on this date also.
