How about a Full-bore (UK) meet at something different?

This is well run and very friendly - maybe get together and arrange a FB(UK) meet on one of their dates?
It is fairly central - but will of course be a long way/too far for some - maybe move around the UK and have meets at various places in 2012 - for some informal shooting.

Would be a fair old drive for me, but looks like the makings of a grand day out. Possible fly in the ointment is "you must have the correct wording on your certificate" - wonder if this means that my ticket wording of "approved ranges" would not cut the mustard...?
Re: How about a Full-bore (UK) meet at something different?
Am I correct in reading that a days shooting is GBP20 against knock down targets out to 450 yards? For a full day that is very reasonable and it is probably 90 miles from us so doable for a fun day out with some F-B'ers.
Have you shot at the place before Mike?

Yes, shot there and yes £20 per day/per person! - not sure on the wording on the FAC as I have an open for the calibres I shot there.
It is a good day out - Doz, drop them an E-mail they are really helpful

Doz, if you are going to mail them can you ask if they allow the use of tracer.... Yes I know it is for bandits however I still have a few hundred rounds of 7,62x51 tracer ball left over that I really should get shot.

Regional meets sound like a good plan
Catton Park is 5 1/2 hours away for me! NOT valid with petrol costs being what they are....

Looks like a cracking range but a little far for me. As always, I'm up for a FBUK shoot but Diggle would be best for me.
Now, as a thought for 2013 we could book a lane or two with electronic targets at Blair Atholl for some 1200yd fun!

It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Close enough for me to have a punt! (need to get a scoped rifle first though to make it viable)...
What would the wording on the certificate need to be? I don't have open ticket nor do I have land permission :(

Re: How about a Full-bore (UK) meet at something different?
I think the wording on the cert. will essentially be an open ticket; '......on any group on which you have permission to shoot.'

:-( How do I go about getting that for something like this? reckon they'd give written permission to apply for it on cert?
