Sounds like a good day at Barton Road - where's the pics? :P

F-class uses half moa v bull and rings for their targets.
Attached is a pic of the 500 yard target

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

You do not need an F Class rifle to shoot at longer ranges or smaller targets. Personally I detest shooting target frames over 1m across as they are awkward to move around and at the first chance I did my utmost to ween my first club off the larger frames, these days I prefer 600m frames even at 1100m, if you can see it you should be able to hit it at that distance, this is not a bragging thing, it is a mind set. If you think you can do it, you can do it.

I will always try and push the envelope, I shot a borrowed Kar98 at 1000m once with machine gun ammunition. It was huge fun. Pistol at 50/75m is good as well. McQueen at 600m is a buzz and any rifle over 1000m is worth a go, so many people shoot well at 100/200 and then tell me they cannot shoot 600+ as it is too far. I was shooting with a 12X 'scope today at 1200 yards and a 3.bowl at 1000 yards a few weeks ago.

It has to be done.

It's a shame, but I only get to shoot TR at 1000 yds once a year, and I've never shot at 1200 - but would quite happily have a plink alongside F-classers...as long as I could count anything in the black as a bull!
