Here is a Hypothetical Question
We are being told about the financial difficulties that the NRA are experiencing at the moment.
What would the situation be if one day the accountant called everyone in and announced that the day had come to close the doors and shut up shop?
Could the land be rented out by a new organisation, charitable or not? I refer to Bisley in the main but clearly any other ranges ran by the NRA would also be affected.
Could for example the BASC take it over?

Re: Hypothetical Question
Nope - assets of a charity must go to another charity
Personally I do not think this is at all likely - if we got into really serious trouble then land and some of the other assets could be sold.
The NRA are not in serious trouble - there have been some bad decisions in the past and lack of proper financial management and the recession has led to problems but I am confident we will get over this.

Re: Hypothetical Question
Karen, we were asked for suggestions on how to improve and make money for for the NRA a while ago, has anything come of this, were any ideas taken on board?
Re: Hypothetical Question
Yes we are always interested in your ideas - some of them will certainly be taken up once the new structure starts to fall into place
Keep em coming!

Re: Hypothetical Question
Yebbut it would good to know which ideas were favourably received last time? If we know maybe we can think of more in a similar vein.
