Sim G wrote:Definitely Norma over Win and Remy. Now I am prepared to be corrected on this, but I believe all "American manufactured" brass is actually made by Starline for the respective companies, except for Hornady who do make their own...
Not heard that, but with only 30 years in this game/sport I know enough to not be surprised by any news along such lines...

I DO know that 6.8SPC brass with the SSA brand is made in-house - and I also know that the Hornady stuff is very good (some of the USA shooters rate Hornady as equal to, or in some cases better than, Lapua...)

Federal brass feels nice but is a bit soft, I rate Lapua and Norma equally but Norma 'feels' different. I did read that the majority of the machinery used to make brass comes from Serbia but how true this is.....

Lapua then Norma for rifle, Starline for pistol. PPU (Privi) pistol is extremely poor, 2 uses in my .44 using low loads and 5 out of 100 split :(
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)
