Pistol Sights tool
Hallo,
I need to change the rear sights on my Sig P226 (sights are dovetail).
I know it is a bit of a far cry in this land but does somebody owns a pistol sights tool I could borrow or rent or even purchase ?
thanks,

Well somebody might have surplus/redundant tools ?? hence my post ...
Anyway, I truly hope that would not be the case/sad attitude... Europe is big but so close ... my French friends come to Bisley to do long distance shooting, a lot of British people shoot pistols on the continent and everybody goes to the Czech Rep for fun shooting

Hi Froggy,
If it looks like this...

I would just use a Brass drift and hammer...

BTW I can assure you that nobody on Full Bore is the least bit jealous of you owning a Sig 226.

A guy at my club is married to a czech lady so he goes there to shoot pistols , when he was on the firing line he heard a shot from behind him , 2 guys handling a pistol which one of them was showing the other , one of them was selling it and the other guy was buying it , usual story that it wasnt loaded and neither of them thought to check it out first . SAFETY FIRST !

Dangerous cretins are found all over the world
ok nobody has a sight adjustment tool then ??
I am a little scared to mark the finish of my sight with a brass drifter ...
Has somebody done it before ?

Re: Pistol Sights tool
In the days when we were allowed pistols I used a brass punch and a hammer. Succesfully adjusted sights this way on Browning Hi-powers. Glock 17s and Sig 226. When I was in the RAF the only tools available to adjust pistol sights was a hammer and punch. I am sure that the manufacturers may have a cramp for the sights but for evrybody else its hammer time.
