Brownells USA

#1 Post by Dave 101 »

Hi

Has anyone ever emailed Brownells in the USA about supplying items directly to you in the UK ? If so did they respond and how long to get a reply ?

I have a feeling Dangermouse buys from Brownells and I buy direct from Sinclair International who are part of the same organisation so you should be able to order direct from them unless things have changed recently..

As Ovenpaa has mentioned, I use Brownell's and the other two companies that they now own - one being Sinclair's.

They are normally good with their communication and I would expect a reply within a week, although we have to remember the time of year and assume that they will have a backlog of communication to deal with.

Recently 20Series and I put in a large order and I was both surprised and pleased to receive a letter last week from Mr Frank Brownell. He thanked me for our order and went as far as asking for me to check the order with a critical eye and provide him with feedback.

I've bought from them quite a few times and everytime I've needed to e-mail, they're been pretty prompt in replying.

I ordered a load of magna-tip blades through their on-line ordering and they appeared in the post not long afterwards without incident. They even sent me their huge catalogue for a couple of years - best gun porn I've seen for a long time.

Yep, being using them for nigh on twenty years. Prompt reples to any communications.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

The last time that I used Brownells was two years ago, I can't recommend them highly enough. I had a bit of a problem with a spare part that I ordered for an old Marlin rifle and by email they talked me through the problem.

A HUGE thumbs up for both Brownells & Sinclair reloading from me

Used them both for years & never yet had any problems

Always very quick with shipping & a very good range of products from them

My only MINOR negative comment is that regardless of how small the item ordered is, they seem to use a minimum size of box - which is not exactly small - so the shipping because of the box size is higher than it would be if they'd used a padded envelope

Only downside of Sinclair is they will say something is in stock and then a couple of weeks later you get a mail saying the parts are now in stock and have been despatched.....

Its been a week now since I contacted Brownells and no reply , as some one said they only use a one size fits all I think I will give it a miss just for a couple of lengths of scope rail .
