The CZ75 I usually shot was OK but was a bit of a mind game, I finished on a 97ex100 one evening at 25. I missed the target first shot the following week....n Christel shot a straight pull SVD and could be very quick with it. We had a 5 shot shootout at 600y one day, fastest/highest score won. I was shooting my AI. I shot 25.03 in 14 seconds, I was chuffed. She put 5 shots down range in sub 10 seconds with a tight group.

We do not have personal issue Glocks, they get issued on a rotation basis, first come first served. The MP5s are similar but we do have a little choice in the style of stocks and sights (Eotech or open)

That's p*** poor. Even in Sussex, which is a small force we had our own. If for no other reason than monitoring wear, usage, etc. Some guys would do the minimum to 'keep their eye in' whereas others would shoot many more rounds.

Couldn't agree more. I can't believe they're asking nearly £2k for that thing. The original is even worse. We started 'liberating' them but soon swapped them or left them as range pigs after trying them. The optic was like looking through the bottom of a milk bottle and it was rare to find one that could group on a man-sized target at 300yds.

Without doubt a K98 Mauser in 7.92 mm. I managed to shoot about 10 feet low at 200 yards, then noticed that the barrel was bent !!! The dealer took it back without any problems but I never had faith in it's replacement, sold it on a while later after only about 40 rounds going through it.
I agree with Dangermouse with the Glock comments. I had to do one of my classification shoots many years ago by aiming off the target by about 12" to the right and high. I did mention it to the instructor who then proceeded to "test fire" it to prove me wrong, he shot 5 rounds at 15 meters on a fig 11 and hit it twice !!! The gun was then put back into the armoury without even being checked by him for the next poor soul to use.
Still dont like Glocks (issued ones anyway) and have would more faith in my Ruger Old Army.

Nothing exciting, but did use a Star .22 pistol many years ago which had the habit of occasionally clearing the rest of the clip out, after 2 or 3 rounds. Hard to concentrate with that.
Had an old Remington b/a .22 rifle soon after to fill a slot on my ticket - never shot anything as bad, although to be fair the barrel was almost smoothbore...
My last Anschutz rimfire was a poor second to the remmy, but suspect the bore wasn't the greatest either. 2" groups at 30 yards were occasions to celebrate.
I seem to have the ability to cause any firearm in my hands to suddenly become an inaccurate pig, for some strange reason. Fortunately, it seems to only be a temporary thing

A friend of mines 9mm taurus pistol! He still has it and it is really bad! Its only on for a ppw and not target but all the same I wouldnt like to be depending on it to save my life.
My dads old single barrel shotgun, you had to be 10 yards or so away to kill anything, i was only starting to learn to shoot when I used it and got fed up when the stock broke so I handed it in and bought a new beretta, i didnt imagine shotguns where that good until I shot it!
The man in the gunshop told me I was mad in the head shooting the old one as the barrel was so badly pitted it was just big pot holes up the barrel!

Last year in a fit of of nostalgia bought two GAT pistols for my twin boys. You can't hit a large balloon at 10 feet unless you clamp a GAT in a Workmate. It has taken a year, but they have now recovered from my "gift" and have agreed to try using a 410 to break slow clays.
