Does bad weather put you off target shooting?

It absolutely does put me off - but, I don't know of any competitions that stop when it rains!

I was on first relay for this year's Europeans and it absolutely poured down (the only wet relay of the weekend). I was shooting with a German guy - "Let's get on with it Dieter" I said and we went for it - never looked at a flag - both shot as quick as we could. Came off drenched with a 72.9v - not too unhappy - then I found that Greg Thompson had shot a 75.11v! The flags were limp - conditions were good but yes, the bad weather put me off!

Would I plink in the rain? Couldn't be arsed!

The stuff I have does not light up for 200/300m by the look of it but it does give a good indication of where it is coming from...

I was over in Albuquerque, NM a couple of weeks back & admit to missing a day's shooting due to the weather; couldn't see much point in doing load development groups with the wind gusting to 85mph. The four days of sub zero temperatures that followed just meant wrapping up well & eating a hearty breakfast. froideur

Not usually, Limited times to get out and do this so when we plan a range trip we go. I remember many times as a kid with my father on a Sunday afternoon sitting in the car during a pouring rain waiting for a break so we could jump out and fire off a few rounds. I'll admit shooting in bitter cold is more of a challenge, but toughens one up for hunting season as it's during a time of year when the weather is nasty. Bad weather days make for fewer shooters on the range, though I'll admit rain may influence the firearms that go as there are certain ones that are collectible enough that they really should not be exposed to the elements. In summary, not really
