Burr Walnut?

Lovely and inspirational work Phil, I am not sure I would have the nerve to do it myself and I am rather jealous, did you take any pictures during the construction?

I can't believe the size of that wood. Is it Burr walnut?

Ovenpaa,

you have noticed the green suede in the base of the cut outs?

It would look good in the loading trays...

You can buy little round self adhesive felt disks, I just don't fancy sticking a few hundred into 13mm holes... Maybe I can offer it as a self application upgrade kit

Afternoon ladies and gents,

Nice to see a good bit of wood is appreciated, it's elm, a grand old tree that fell victim to Dutch elm disease in the late 70's. My late father had it stored in the corner of a barn for the last 30 years and I've started to sort through it. Enough to keep me busy for a while.

All the best phil
