love the 96/11 and cast boolits as well! how does she shoot? the K31 is going to get a try out at 1000 yrds in a couple of weeks

Shoots good with the few boolit/powder combinations i have tried Kenny, i mainly use them between 25m and 100m as it provides reasonably cheap shooting.
This year i have started useing the GP11 rounds again in the military rifle comps at Diggle. The last two comps i used it at were 600m and 800m, click the sights to the desired setting and that GP11 was on the board straight away.

Let us know how you get on at the 1000m shoot, and perhaps some pics if you could manage.

I'll see what I can do its only a club shoot but the main problem I have is no one local stocks GP11, I have privi, but the sights aren't set for anything but GP11 and I am reloading ,I have some rounds to try that are getting pretty close to max so hopefully they should chrono out and give the range,

This is the small bores - I love the stripes on the Anschutz.

And the classics - The Mauser only came today...and it was love at first sight

I could definitely have some fun with 'black' guns - but they will never have the character and beauty of something constructed from steel, brass and wood...

I'd never really had a propper close look at one, so bought it from 'reputation' as I'd always fancied trying one (and have been looking for something to shoot McQueens with) - now I've had a real good look, I'm very happy - I can't get over how well made it is for something 100 years old

...But it'll never replace the SMLE

Hmmm... I know a friend who recently sold a Swede Mauser... wonder if it's the same. The shooting cycles of the UK aren't exaclty big, are they?

I need to get my camera out and do some snappin' me thinks.

Oh yes! - Apart from being a lovely rifle in good general condition, the bore is as you said...very good for the age
