Anyone use Viht N120 or N130?

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

Does anyone here reload with N120 or N130? I have the chance to get some slightly cheaper than normal when we go back to DK next.

I used to use N130 in .223 but found that BLC 2 was a far better, easier metering and cheaper powder.

I was thinking of one or the other for the 8x58RD however I could always bring a few extra tubs back.

By boat, we have checked and it is OK to bring *some* powder back however they did not give exact figures. I reckon 10kgs should be OK.

That's very interesting, I was always led to believe it was an absolute no-no to try and bring powder back on the boat. I feel a European short-break coming on...

I asked in terms of reloading on the go, the ship already knows we are taking rifles with us to Denmark.

This is the reply I got.

"Good Afternoon

We have received the response from the ship below in regards to taking gun powder:

Normal procedures regarding bringing gun’s on board, is that the passenger has to deliver it to the officer and then it will be looked up in a safe looker.

Anyway, if the passenger is carrying a lot of gun powder, he has to let us know the UN number for the stuff and then it will be treated as dangerous goods (IMDG goods)."

So, in other words, yes we can bring it.
