Purely out of nostalgic interest does Wembley Rifle and Pistol Club still exist?
If not does anyone know what happened to it.
I have fond memories of shooting there back in the 1980s. It was built on an old rubbish dump I believe and Wembley stadium was visible from the range.

Re: Wembley Rifle and Pistol Club
Looks as though their charitable status has been removed
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Re: Wembley Rifle and Pistol Club
As did that of almost all clubs when the Charity Commission decided that training subjects for the defense of the realm was no longer a valid objective.
Somehow the NRA were able to get around this decision but they didn't extend the advise to member clubs.
Wembley appeared to be a very strong vibrant club with a large pistol shooting section. I'm wondering if the club was no longer viable when the pistol shooters were lost or whether the land taken back by the local authority for development.

Re: Wembley Rifle and Pistol Club
I was a member back in the day - must have been around 1980 - just starting out.
Used to live in Kenton - so very handy.
Was learning prone shooting with a .22 Martini action rifle at the time.
