No Graham, it remains s2. The point where s2 ammunition becomes s1 is when the cartridge has less than five projectiles or one of the projectile exceeds .36” in diameter.
And strictly speaking, there is no such thing as s2 ammunition, only s1 and 5. S2 defines the “gun”.
But we digress. Ball, powder, wad and cap are not ammunition. You can still have a loaded s2 musket, but one of the anomalies is, is not actually loaded with ammunition.
