Did someone mention lever action?
Picked up an Uncle Bob special in 9mm yesterday.
I think John Wayne would approve.
Here next to my soon to be departed LR.

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
Is the lever action as awkward as people were thinking (in some cases 'hoping' it would seem...) It would be?
This is a lever action I could get behind if it's not too awkward to use.

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
In my opinion nothing awkward about it. Have put 50 rounds of GECO through it and only issue is with me getting used to it and not racking the lever forcefully enough. No doubt the action will smooth out with use, but more than adequate as is. Well engineered with typical SGC solidity (not a lightweight).
Takes 33 round mags and a Korean drum mag and seems to function with some dummy rounds loading and ejecting.
Some will call it a Marmite gun. I don’t like Marmite but l think this gun is awesome.

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
Can you easily rack it with hand & thumb still on the pistol grip?
Re: Did someone mention lever action?
We need some proper pictures!!
From the side, firing grip. From the side, lever at full extension....
Can't believe how excited I am to see this!

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

If you think you are a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around.

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
Is this actually a production item, not mentioned on the SGC website that I can see?
Careful now/that sort of thing

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
Yes it is a production picked up from Shooting Supplies, choice of 2. One was a fairly standard build sub 2K and the other was the one l bought at 2.5K with fluted barrel, etc. Purportedly a second batch of 25.
Hand size would dictate if you had to release grip on the handgrip, which l have to do with my Marlin and with this one as well.

Re: Did someone mention lever action?
Wish I could have one, but certainly not here in NZ with those large magazines. I think lever actions and pump actions are next on the gun-banner's agenda. If Labour gets back in (which it seems certain that they will) we can expect that next year.
Just think - two years ago I had two AR15s in semi-auto and multiple 30 round magazines for them, and now I am lucky I can still have my lever-action .30-30.
Enjoy it while you can.
