FAC Application

#1 Post by Convict_keeper »

Just a quick question, I have blank forms 101 & 125 on my comp. I am ok to print these off to use or do you have to use original ones and if so do you just give your FEO a bell or can you pick them up form your local cop shop?

I've printed them off and used them without there being a problem.

Just filling in my Form 101 and am stuck a bit :?

I received a roadside caution about 7 years ago for being a bit excessive with my speed  & a caution for pushing someone who reported me for assault but as I did indeed push him I put my hands up to it :( . I want to be 100% honest on my application, now do I put this down in relation to Q14 - Have you been convicted of any offence?

Any advice will be appreciated

Without doubt, put both down. Trying to conceal information is as bad as lying in regards to these forms. You will have to answer questions about it, particularly the assault caution.

One thing I would suggest when this discussion arises, remember to tell them that work saw it of no consequence and that you still hold your position as a prison officer which has all the powers/office of constable..... ;)

I take it the caution was for common assault?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Be 101% honest & you'll fair ok. When you get a visit ,you may get chance to explain the circumstances. Good luck ;)

Thanks for the advice so far I intend to be 1000% honest all the way through this process, but a couple more questions...

is it acceptable to put "Target Shooting" as a reason for wanting the firearms, yes I belong to a club?

and

what would you say would be acceptable amounts of ammo, Im putting in for :-

1 - .22
2 - .38
3 - 303
4 - 308 (for a scoped rifle)
5 - 308 (for an apature sight rifle)

I'm thinking of 750 hold - 1000 purchase but have no idea if these are realistic figures

Cheers in advance
