Ruger 10/22 semi auto rifles Banned

Just been looking at the new guncraft AR15 review on youtube. (pretty nice) but seemed to jam a few times
I was very concerned to read in the comments section that RFDs in Scotland are very much of the opinion that there is a possibility that
Ruger 10/22s could be next in line for a ban. Has anyone got any further/updates/information regarding the possibility of this happening

There is the possibility that all firearms and shotguns could be banned. Doesn’t mean possibility is a potential reality.

But, when it comes to guns, there’s two things that shouldn’t be believed as they have been shown regularly to not be the most reliable of information. The internet and RFDs...! And put both of them together! Shheeessshhhh!

Perhaps those Starlinist types that wonder the corridors of the Scottish Parliament might have other ideas for the People's Republic though....

The title of this thread should be changed as it is factually incorrect.

This is the sort of misinformation that starts going around social media as though it were actually happening.

And to put it into context after looking at the YT video the OP is referring to, this is all based on a 2 month old comment from an airgunner who heard an RFD was selling his 10/22.

Can we keep this nonsense away from here and confined to FakeBook at least?

I have some sympathy with the views expressed about the rumourmongering that debilitates gun ownership in this country and perpetrating such stupidity is not to be tolerated.

This thread however has dealt with this particular piece of gossip as well as the broader context of such irresponsibility, therefore it has value and is best to leave the thread up. However it will now be locked.
