Another Newbie!!
Hi all
After a childhood filled with rifle shooting in the Air Cadets, 10 years after leaving the urge to go shooting again has hit me! So I have joined up at Chichester Rifle and Pistol Club as a probationary member and had my first shoot with them this week. Absolutely awesome bunch over there. I had a coach with me for all of the evening. And at 25m I had a 4 shot grouping of around 30mm. This 5th shot came after the coach adjusted the sight so was out of the group. Not great but considering I haven't held a rifle in at least 10 years I will be content.
I struggled with an ill-fitting jacket (I'm a fat f***er) which was pulling on my shoulders causing fatigue after a few shots. So I have bought myself one. Only a cheapy but hopefully better fitting. I also wasn't keen on the very bulky glove so I ordered a slimline one. Not sure if that will cause other problems but we will soon find out.
Another problem I had was my glasses steaming up while looking down the sight. As soon as I took my head away they cleared but it meant I only had a couple of breaths to get my shot away otherwise my vision was blurred. If anyone has a good solution to this I would be glad to hear it....
Look forward to reading up on here and getting to know the sport better!

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
