Wrong approach.

Makes you wonder if cricket and hockey and various other ball games should be banned for kids to watch as well. After all you can die if you get a ball in your head.

:55: to all those "wishy washy let's wrap all kids in cotton" people.

"But Danny Bryan, founder of Communities Against Gun and Knife Crime said: "I agree with Boris. It is good kids should enjoy the Games but there's no way we should glorify guns."
Muppet (are we still trying to be profanity-free on here?). Hope they won't be allowed to watch archery/javelin/hammer etc. then, or any of the track events that might encourage steroid abuse...

I remember reading many years past that there were more deaths in athletics each year than resulted by the accidental misuse of firearms.
Even falling football goals topped the list one year!

I would expect that with health and safety getting involved everywhere that these deaths are now lower than ever, but I would still be interested to see how the figures compare.

The kind of facts that the BASC are good at,

Speechless :cool2:

Boris should perhaps tackle the selling of video games to under age children. That is a far bigger influence on children's attitude to guns and violence than Olympic shooting.

I despair, I really do!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

... :ugeek: I truly cannot conjure up the correct wording for that load of *...

I want to live in politician-land, it seems like a nice friendly, fluffy place.

EDIT: Some of the comments on the site make a good point. Will children be banned from archery?

No? Why not? Arrows are a dangerous projective weapon. As far as I know you don't need a licence to own one. Arrows kill and we can't glorify killing now, can we?

Also, anyone else notice that they cannot hang a Union Flag the right way round?

Glorify guns................why on earth would we want to promote kids to learn about

1- Discipline
2- Fitness
3- Concentration

what a complete and utter burk
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
