gun shops near cornwall

#1 Post by douglas670 »

Hi all
Im off to hopefully sunny cornwall on the 27th august and I HOPE my variation is thru and my certificate is back as i would like to see what is on offer down south for anything 303,8x57, 7.62x54 and 6.5x55 as i dont get a chance these days to travel much.
anyone with any info re shops that may stock items when down in that area, i also plan to vist Bletchly park (milton keynes i think??) even anything there would do.
Finally how far of the A1 is henry krank as i may take a detour

that being said I bet the certificate nots back by then!!

cheers

If you are going down the A1 then you can't not go into Hannams, it is a stones throw from the A1. You cant look around as such but if browse the rather poor cataligue online you can make up a list.

Krank's is a pain to get to off the A1 and will take you an hour each way depending on the traffic. Unless you were after something specific (which you could order from Pukkabundhooks) then don't bother, big shop but not a great deal to see IMHO.

Norman Clarks at Rugby might be a bit far east of the M5 for you but well worth a look by all accounts as would be Reloading Soulutions but even further eat in Oxfordshire.

I 2nd Sportsman Gun Centre, should be plenty to keep you busy. Do Southern Gun Company have a showroom?

If you find anywhere selling Vectan AS then please give me a shout! :D :D
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

When you do get 'down west' you could try Helston Gunsmiths nr Helston.
As far as I know Bob Clark @ Southern Gun Co does not have a showroom. I've always phoned first.
We are a bit low on gun shops down here - that's why I save for each Bisley show!
Enjoy Cornwall! :cornwall:

Can't help on the shops I'm afraid, but I hope you find Cornwall sunnier than we did last week! Reckon they don't pay their rates down there... ;)
