.308 target rifle

I’ve just applied for another .308 slot as I’m not really getting on with my Parker Hale T4. I shoot with a sling and jacket and open sight at ranges out to 500 yards currently. I’ve got perhaps £800 - £1000 to spend and I’d like the full set up if poss so butt plate, sights etc.
Is that doable for something reasonable with lots of life left in it?

Oddly I saw this newly advertised the other day - obviously you’d need to make an assessment or enquiries as to round count, but at £550 it leaves room for whichever butt hook system you fancy if that’s a requirement.

Hmm. That’s interesting. I’d guess it’s reasonably old though but I might take a closer look.
