Have SGC put their prices up?

#1 Post by Lancs_Oakley »

Before I applied for my FAC I built a few versions of lever release .223 on SGCs website.
Most expensive was about £3k with billet upper and lower but I am sure high 2's was possible.
I just went on to have another look and coming in closer to £4k and much fewer options.

Have I missed a price rise?

He may have put has prices up to put buyers off paying for them in case they along with the MARS rifles get banned, just a thought.

As my local RFD has returned a couple of SGC 9mm & 45's that they had not sold, did not want to get stuck with them.

If I were you OP, if you are looking at purchasing this type of firearm, I would wait and see what happens until the full effect of the consultation is known (basically as the post by bnz41 above).

If you think the prices have gone up now, just wait and see what happens if nothing comes of this consultation, or even worse, if this type of gun becomes 'grandfathered'!

If I were you OP, if you are looking at purchasing this type of firearm, I would buy one asap, that way you are covered if they are grandfathered or you get all your money back if they are banned.

Sgc prices have always been on the high side, I must admit that I don't see any kind of premium quality about them either that would demand such money.....couple that with the now legendary non existent customer service one has a good reason to shop elsewhere...

Yes leaver release, but straight pulls are anymans game now.......is the leaver release system exclusively patented? Is there a way of changing it slightly to produce without infringement?
