Only Two ............... is that the best you can do ?Gh0st wrote:Well there’s two already been discussed in this thread.
Rude Fat Dog sells the Europa - Based on S&W 686.
John Robinson sells his version of the S&W 686 frames (I don’t know if he is a registered RFD Though)
And if you believe what others say and frames are not available separately then they are both conversions from their original production. BUT converted outside the UK and both comply with UK Gun laws and are being used on the competition circuit and clubs around the UK.

You said .............There are plenty of reputable companies importing converted Pistols of all sorts of variations that meet UK Law.Gh0st wrote:Do I need more to prove my point...?
Two does not equal plenty .
So yes you do need more to get even close to prooving your point .
Re: Gallery LBR

Well two is enough to show that they are being sold.
Just out of interest MistAgain do you own a LBR?

Re: Gallery LBR
It seems to me that this thread should be closed. When the various LBRs first came into this country---as LBRs regardless of the parts origins, they were cleared as being legal with the home office. By regurgitating the discussion about what is and what is not legal, you are reminding our detractors in government and police that this might be a subject for more repression in the disguise of clarity.
MistAgain has certainly missed again. By the way, I do not have an LBR and have never wanted one. I want my real pistols back.

Why do we need to close it? We’re just discussing the finer details. It’s a forum after all.

Re: Gallery LBR
Because to the outside world and the antis we seem to be declaring that part of our community is using guns of questionable legality.
We do go off the rails sometimes and provide ammunition to our detractors. Stop it.

There is enough ammunition (excuse the pun) out there for anti’s. This is a discussion forum where everyone has an opinion.
Anyway....
Does anyone here have a recommendation over the .357 to .38 useage for the LBR’s? Any preferences

So what you are saying is Rude Fat Dog and John Robinson are selling illegal guns?
What I am saying is, IF the S&W LBRs currently available, have been assembled from any component parts that were once a constituent in a revolver of the type described by s5, ie barrel less than 12 inches and an OAL less than 24 inches, at anytime, then those LBRs would themselves be subject to requiring s5 authority to possess.
I am not the only one who says so. That is exactly what I had confirmed to me by the Home Office when I looked to have an LBR built in NI or IoM. There has been no change in primary legislation in regards to s7 FAA 1988, there has been no case law and the current Home Office guidance on Firearms Law has not changed.
Now if it had, there would be a plethora of pistol smiths in the EU building all sorts of kit. There isn’t. Likewise, Wilson and Westlake cannot build current spec s1 revolvers on S&W frames because they cannot obtain any that are not prohibited weapons.
Hoe else could the LBR being described, in conjunction with current legislation, be anything but prohibited?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
