Drag Bags. Worth it, and which one to get?

My 308 has now outgrown my normal gunslips, and as I'm looking to shoot over greater distances away from my main club I'm thinking of a Drag Bag. I can see one negative in terms of size in that it wouldn't fit diagonally in the boot of my hatch as now, but dropping half the split /fold rear seats would sort this. Are they worth the money? Are AIM the best? Which AIM to go for, the Scout 50 with Mat looks best value. Experiences and opinions please.

I have an Arktis drag bag that I use purely for range use. I waited quiet a while to find a bag second hand, but I am glad I did. When I was looking for one I was looking for either an Arktis or an AIM, the Arktis came up first. I wouldn't have spent the new price of either bag on one, and probably still wouldn't. I do also have one of those bag / range mat things, around £65 online, its ok but not as heavy duty as the Arktis. Main reason for going for a drag bag was the ability to carry all of my normal kit in one go. I can get most of m stuff in the bag and get it on my back using the rucksack straps. Very good padding and protection, and plenty of storage. I tend to leave asset of waterproofs in one of the large pockets. I do carry ammo separately.

I have two AIM bags (for my AI and Ruger PR) and they are worth the money. Hard wearing, good sized pockets for all the bits and bobs you need to carry, tools, waterproofs etc. Distributes the load evenly across your shoulders when carrying on your back. In fact I intend to get a smaller AIM 40 for my other rifles.

I have both AIM and Blackhawk and they both get the job done however I seem to end up taking the Blackhawk more often than the AIM, not sure why...

Thanks for the responses. Looks like AIM is the way to go. Anyone with a view on the Scout 50 Bag that comes with a mat? The main differences seem to be that it is rectangular and has no Cleaning Rod sleeve.
Would be fairly easy to fashion a way of holding a cleaning rod I expect.

Thanks Airbrush, have just looked at them. Looks to be a compromise as both a mat and a bag, although much cheaper than AIM. I think I'm probably best going the AIM route at least for the Bag if not the Mat/Bag Scout combo.
