Personal Importation

#1 Post by Nelly2014 »

Does anyone have any knowledge of importing UK legal guns? I would like to have a Semi-auto .22 lr sent from somewhere in Europe to a RFD in UK.

I'd like to import a .22RF pistol from Germany to fill a slot that I have for humane dispatch pistol but when I started looking into it found that it would cost more than to buy one here and pay for it to be restricted. Perhaps things have changed in the last 18 months??

I would be interested to know how to import from the USA...or even find out if it is possible now with the raft of restrictions on everything gun related

For USA you need an export licence - this is done by RDF(there equivalent) in the USA and has to be shipped to RFD here. It's not cheap.

Export needed for almost everything. Brass included.

Your exporter needs to get the export license, not you. And make sure it doesn't go freight, or it'll be even more expensive.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

If you do it as a personal import, you can collect from Customs with your FAC.

Is it possible to buy a shotgun from a dealer in the states and have it shipped to an RFD in this country?
