I am not sure why this is happening right now and I think we have had either 3 or 4 come in over the last 6 weeks with at least one being scrapped off so far. All came in from technically proficient and experienced shooters and all ended up with destroyed barrels and are lucky to be able to talk about it.

It would be interesting to find out if all these loads came from progressive presses. And if they are all the same make.

If something like this occurred on a MOD range could it not make them twitchy about civilian shooters using handloads on their ranges or would it come down to the discretion of the club?.RDC wrote:Nah, only if they were being naughty. On an MoD range it is a reportable incident.

If it was on a MOD range then it should of been reported as an incident the MOD would then want a full inquiry. It could result in the Club being barred from using MOD ranges or the use of reloaded ammunition being banned. The MOD take incidents on there ranges very seriously.
